The story
Explore a surreal world obsessed with proportions and anatomy, in this 2.5D Metroidvania action RPG, where you will find out what you're made of... and break everything else apart.
What it’s like
Dense, grimy 2.5D environments in murky, sickly palettes, with decay, viscera-like textures and an oppressive sense of something wrong with the anatomy of the place. The mood is dark, uneasy and surreal, closer to a bleak fever dream than to a comforting escape, with a soundscape that suits sitting in a dim room with headphones on. Its rhythm is that of a Metroidvania and a soulslike: slow, careful exploration of interconnected, unsettling spaces, broken up by punishing, deliberate combat where each death costs you progress. Violence is central and stylised rather than realistic, as the premise of breaking everything apart suggests, and the difficulty is high, so it is not a gentle or low-stakes pick. The arc is one of self-discovery through destruction, told largely through the world itself. It suits late-night, focused play for people who enjoy grotesque, atmospheric worlds, demanding combat, and the slow satisfaction of mapping a hostile place.
