The story
A rave party off the coast of Goa goes horrifyingly and hilariously wrong when the island is overrun with zombies.
What it’s like
Bright, sun-bleached Goa in daylight and then sweaty, strobe-lit night: beach shacks, crowded lanes, and rave interiors rendered in saturated oranges, teal and hot pinks, with a loud, restless camera that stays close to its frantic young leads. The score leans on pulsing electronic beats and bouncy Bollywood-tinged pop, so the soundtrack keeps the energy up even as the sound design turns to wet, clattering chaos. The zombie violence is frequent and gory but played for slapstick, with splashy blood, crude gags and cartoonish gross-out moments rather than dread; nothing lingers in darkness for long. Its vibe is manic, irreverent and goofy, a good fit for a loud Friday night with friends or a late-evening laugh when you want chaos without seriousness. Pacing is fast and sketchy, with a cast of hapless, bickering friends and a loose, escalating arc from partying to panicked survival. Expect crude humour, swearing and some sexual innuendo. It suits viewers who like genre-mashing horror comedy and don't mind rough, overcaffeinated edges.
