Sun-bleached and sprawling, with the glare of Los Santos midday and the amber haze of its smog-soft sunsets rendered in sharper, richer detail on current hardware. Palm-lined boulevards, glossy car paint, rain-slick freeways at dusk and the cool blue of night-time hillsides give the open world a restless, cinematic sheen, while the radio stations spill a constant rotation of classic rock, hip-hop and talk-show chatter from every vehicle. The vibe is loose, wry and kinetic: a satirical sun-soaked caper that suits a long evening of wandering, a road trip through the city with the windows down, or a lively session with friends in co-op. Pacing swings between lazy drives and sudden, chaotic bursts, and the three protagonists' uneasy partnership gives the story its tension and dark humour. Violence is frequent and cartoonishly over the top, with gunfights, car crashes and explosions, plus crude language, drug and criminal content, and some brutal scenes that land more for shock than weight. It is not gentle, and it suits players who want an irreverent, high-energy sandbox that lets them cause mayhem or simply drive.
