The story

After accidentally killing his fiancee, Anand becomes insane and is admitted to a psychiatric hospital. Tanvi, his doctor, falls in love with him, but her father does not approve, given his past.

What it’s like

Soft, glossy Bollywood melodrama, lit with warm interior light in the hospital corridors and cooler, shadowed tones in the scenes of a troubled man's unravelling, with the feel of a sung romance threaded through a hushed, clinical setting. Its vibe is tender and unsettled, a mix of romantic yearning and creeping psychological unease, best suited to a slow evening with a cup of tea or a comfort watch when you want emotional drama and a little suspense without graphic horror. The pacing is leisurely and musical, with songs that pause the tension and let the central romance breathe, while the rhythm of the hospital scenes builds a sense of uncertainty about who is safe to trust. Its people's arc follows a doctor drawn toward a patient whose past is shrouded in tragedy, and the emotional register swings between sentiment and anxiety. Intensity is moderate: the central death is in the backstory, with no on-screen gore, and the disturbed behaviour carries more fear and eeriness than violence. It suits viewers who enjoy romantic melodrama, psychological mysteries, and the classic Hindi film habit of big emotions and musical interludes.
