The story

Mizutani Shizuku finds peace in her studies.  Working hard to stay at the top of the class, alone but focused.  When she is tasked with delivering class materials to Yoshida Haru, her world starts to rapidly expand.  With some new friends and feelings, will she be able to stay focused on her studies?

What it’s like

Bright daylight classrooms, rounded character designs and sudden cartoon-exaggerated faces give this anime a sunny, lively surface, with school corridors, rooftops and sunlit windows doing much of the visual work. The sound leans on bouncy pop cues and quick comic sound effects, easing into softer piano-led moments when the mood turns tender. Its vibe is warm, awkward and playful, suited to a lazy weekend afternoon, a comfort rewatch or easy evening viewing. Episodes move briskly, with running gags, slapstick reactions and quick cuts between mischief and sincerity. Emotionally it follows two students slowly learning to trust each other, a self-contained girl and a rough-edged boy whose guarded sides gradually open, and it touches on old wounds from school bullying with gentle seriousness rather than heaviness. Intensity is low: some shouting, shoving and comic scuffles, no gore and no sexual content, with the painful memories surfacing only in brief, restrained scenes. It is for viewers who want a light romantic school story with humour, warmth and a slow-building sense of belonging.
