The story

Demons that once almost destroyed the world, are revived by someone. To prevent the world from being destroyed, the demon has to be sealed and the only one who can do it is the shrine maiden Shion from the country of demons, who has two powers; one is sealing demons and the other is predicting the deaths of humans. This time Naruto's mission is to guard Shion, but she predicts Naruto's death. The only way to escape it, is to get away from Shion, which would leave her unguarded, then the demon, whose only goal is to kill Shion will do so, thus meaning the end of the world. Naruto decides to challenge this "prediction of death."

What it’s like

Bright, saturated anime colour over hand-drawn backdrops: sun-dappled forest canopies, sandstone ruins, and a shrine tucked into bare hillside, with crisp cel-shaded character close-ups and sweeping camera moves through open landscape. The score leans on orchestral swells and taiko-style percussion, with quieter piano passages when the bodyguard mission turns personal. Its vibe is earnest, bright-hearted adventure with a dose of foreboding, the kind of watch that suits a weekend afternoon or a comfort rewatch for fans of the series. The pacing alternates between brisk fight choreography and slower, dialogue-driven stretches about trust and fate. The action is frequent and stylised, with ninja combat, large-scale magic and creature battles; it is cartoon-violent rather than gory, with some sustained peril and menacing demons, but no sexual content and little real cruelty. Its emotional register is loyal and hopeful, following a determined young ninja who refuses to accept a prophecy of his own death. It is for shounen fans and families who enjoy fantasy action with a warm core of friendship.
