The story

The series revolves around Gabo, a soccer-loving teenager who, upon receiving a scholarship from the prestigious Sports Academic Institute (IAD) of Buenos Aires, will see his dream of playing at Los Halcones Dorados, the renowned amateur team of the school, and also his longing to become a professional footballer.

What it’s like

Built on teenage ambition and family pressure, this is a Spanish-language comedy-drama in the soap register, with football running through every episode. Its world is a Buenos Aires secondary school with a competitive sports programme, and its emotional center is a young footballer's divided loyalties: a prized scholarship on one side, the amateur team he already loves on the other. Expect the warm, bustling rhythm of a school-and-family soap, where small rivalries, teammates and parents carry as much weight as the matches. Its tone is light and accessible rather than dark or grim, and the metadata doesn't specify its level of violence or sexual content, so check those before choosing it for a gentle night. It suits viewers who want a sports story about a teenager finding his place, watched in comfortable installments.
