The story
It tells the stories of a group of teachers and students from a central fictional school in Madrid. Under the gaze of some new teachers, newcomers to the center, we will know the passions, interests, aspirations and dreams of a group of rebellious teenagers who are in their last years of high school.
What it’s like
Bright, sunlit classrooms and corridors give this Spanish teen series a warm, busy look: fluorescent-lit hallways that open onto open windows, cramped school stairwells, and the easy glow of Madrid afternoons spilling into teenage bedrooms and cafés. The camera stays close and mobile in the school, with lots of quick cuts between groups of students and staff, and the pop and indie-leaning soundtrack keeps the energy up, with needle drops swelling over montage scenes and the occasional quieter song for heart-to-heart moments. The vibe is lively, affectionate and a little chaotic, with the comedy of staffroom squabbles and teenage bluster sitting comfortably beside more tender material. Episodes move at a brisk, soap-like clip, and the central arcs follow a young teaching staff learning to connect with a rowdy final-year class, while those students work through first love, friendship falling apart, family strain and the pressure of what comes next. Intensity is moderate: there are emotionally heavy storylines around family trouble, illness and loss, along with teenage drinking, sex talk and some romantic tension, but violence is minimal and the tone stays warm. It suits a casual rewatch, a background binge on a lazy weekend, or anyone who likes character-driven school drama with a big heart.
