The story

When danger threatens her camp, the fierce and highly skilled Comanche warrior Naru sets out to protect her people. But the prey she stalks turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal.

What it’s like

Lush, sun-bleached grassland and dense pine forest shot in wide, patient frames, with the camera often low in the grass so the tall stems and open sky dominate the image. Daylight is clear and unhurried, the palette warm ochres and greens with rust-red blood that stands out sharply against it. The alien hunter's presence arrives as flickers of cloaking distortion and cold blue-white targeting light, a deliberate contrast to the natural world around it. The sound design leans on wind through grass, birdsong, creaking branches and the crunch of footsteps, with a restrained, percussive score that swells during chase sequences and drops out entirely in tense stillness. Vibe: suspenseful, earthy, sun-drenched dread with a steady, purposeful momentum. Violence is frequent and physical, with graphic moments including decapitation, a severed limb, bear attacks and blood spatter; it lands hard and close, though the rhythm is more survival-tense than gory. Best for viewers who want a lean, grounded creature-hunt with a determined heroine, especially on a weekend afternoon or late-night watch when they're ready for intense, brutal set pieces.
