The story
A group of cold-blooded killers find themselves trapped on an alien planet to be hunted by extraterrestrial Predators.
What it’s like
Dense jungle canopy under a sickly, low-hanging sky, with the light filtering green and murky through the leaves and the camera staying close to the bodies moving through it. Director Nimród Antal shoots the hunt with handheld urgency and tight, shifting framing, so the forest feels oppressive and disorienting rather than grand, and the creature sequences lean on quick cuts and cloaking shimmer more than long reveals. The score is a pounding, metallic synth-and-percussion pulse that drops to ticking silence between attacks. Vibe: sweaty, paranoid, grimly propulsive. It suits a late-night watch with the lights off, or a loud action fix on a weekend when you want tension without any slow lead-in. The violence is frequent and bloody, with impalings, dismemberment and blood spatter, and the fear is constant and claustrophobic. Not gentle, and the brutality lands hard. Made for action fans who want a lean, mean creature romp, not a character-driven drama or anything soft.
