The story

Be-spectacled geek, Abhay falls in love with college hottie, Alisha and silently slinks away into the shadows when he realises she's unattainable. Seven years later, he re-enters her life as the nanny and hopes to woo the single mom, this time at least. Does he succeed?

What it’s like

Bright, busy Hindi romcom energy: saturated colours, crowded group frames of friends talking over each other, and a college campus that feels loud and lively. The sound leans on bouncy songs, quick banter and playful cuts between scenes. It is a warm, lighthearted comfort watch for an easy evening in or something to put on with friends. The comedy comes from awkward crushes, self-conscious nerdiness and running gags, and the tone stays affectionate rather than sharp. Its central arc follows a shy, bookish young man who keeps stepping back from his feelings and gets a second chance years later, so the emotional register is wistful, hopeful and gently self-deprecating. Pacing is brisk and musical, with frequent dance numbers. Intensity is very low: no violence, no gore, no real peril, only mild innuendo and emotional awkwardness. It suits viewers who want a sweet, funny, unthreatening romance, especially fans of campus comedies and second-chance love stories.
