The story

An atheist archaeologist turned believer must race against time to prove the true existence of the legendary Ram Setu before evil forces destroy the pillar of India’s heritage.

What it’s like

Wide aerial shots of turquoise sea, pale limestone shoals and sun-baked temple towns set the tone, with a glossy, saturated digital finish that favours bright daylight over shadow. Night sequences lean on sodium-orange and cold blue spills, and the frame fills with sweeping crane moves and fast-cut chases through crowded streets and ruined stone. The score is a big orchestral swell laced with chanting and devotional strings, rising into percussive action cues. Vibe: earnest, grand and old-fashioned adventure, with a sense of treasure-hunt urgency. It suits a weekend afternoon or a long evening when you want spectacle and don't mind a bit of melodrama. Pacing is brisk and mostly propulsive, with talky stretches of debate and history lessons between set pieces. Its hero's arc moves from scepticism to conviction, and the emotional register is sincere and uplifting rather than subtle. Action is frequent and fairly stylised: fistfights, gunfire, explosions, car and boat chases, and peril for the lead and his team, with little gore and no sexual content. Best for viewers who enjoy large-scale, faith-tinged action-adventure and would rather be swept along than made to think hard.
