The story

When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.

What it’s like

Taut, knowing slasher dread with a mask at its center: a quiet small-town setting where ordinary domestic life is suddenly under threat, and a stalker in a ghost-faced disguise who could be anyone. The tone swings between tense, suspicion-driven suspense and sharp bursts of stabbing violence, with a steady stream of murders that land hard and are not softened. Expect jump scares, phone-call menace, and a whodunit structure that keeps you guessing through the reveals. The self-referential, meta humor about horror rules and franchise history runs alongside the fear, so it plays as both a genuine scare and a wink. The rhythm is brisk, building toward chase sequences and confrontations, with a mother's protective fear as its emotional spine: a survivor forced to face old trauma. Intensity is high: frequent graphic-leaning violence, bloodshed, and fear rather than gentleness. It suits viewers who want a loud, suspenseful night out or a late-night scare with friends, and fans of the franchise who enjoy the mystery, the masks, and the genre commentary.
