The story

Owing to the wrongdoings affiliated with evils similar to black money, an honest but ferocious police officer returns as the Deputy Commissioner of Police with the prospect of wiping out injustice.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated frames with big-budget gloss: sunlit Maharashtrian towns, dust-gold village streets, crisp uniforms, and wide establishing shots that give way to tight close-ups during confrontations. Rohit Shetty's camera loves whip pans, slow-motion hero walks, and punchy zooms, and the score swells with brass, dhol beats, and bursts of pop-filmi song that cut the tension on purpose. The mood is loud, earnest, and crowd-pleasing, a mass-entertainment blockbuster with a warm, swaggering heart. Its pacing is brisk with long, elaborate action sequences and comic relief between them, and its arc follows a principled cop who won't bend while everyone around him does. Violence is frequent and stylized: many-against-one brawls, thrown bodies, stunts and explosions, with some blood but little gore. Cruelty appears in the villains' bullying of ordinary people, and there's romance without sexual content. It's a good fit for weekend group viewing, for fans of big Hindi action, and for anyone who wants a comfort-rewatch of righteous heroics rather than anything quiet or gentle.
