The story
Super Time Force Ultra is an action-packed platformer with a time-travelling twist! You’re in control of time itself, bending and stretching it to your advantage on the battlefield. Rewind time and choose when to jump back into the action, teaming-up with your past selves in a unique single-player co-op experience! Take control of up to 16 unique characters, and battle across 6 different time periods, from the long-ago past to the far-away future.
What it’s like
Bright, cartoonishly saturated pixel art with chunky sprites, explosions that bloom in flat orange and white, and a fast, bouncy sense of motion that never lets the screen feel still. The soundtrack is a driving mix of chiptune-flavoured rock and synth, loud and propulsive, with stings that punctuate every rewind and reset. Levels unfold in short, frantic bursts, each one a tangle of gunfire, jumps and squads of your own past selves, so the rhythm is restless and playful rather than tense. The vibe is brash, goofy and kinetic: a loud Saturday-morning cartoon in game form, good for an energetic evening, a fidget-friendly session, or a stretch of one-more-try momentum. Violence is constant but cartoonish, with lots of gunfire and blown-up enemies, comic gore at most, and no real menace or cruelty. Tone stays irreverent and lightly sardonic throughout. It suits players who enjoy twitchy, arcade-style action, puzzle-minded time manipulation and a playful, mischievous sense of humour.
