The story

Ace car racer RV and his wife have the world at their feet. But he has an accident and his world is turned upside down. Can he reclaim his lost glory?

What it’s like

Bright, saturated frames with glossy studio polish, warm interiors and sun-washed city streets, then a shift toward plainer, dimmer rooms as fortunes dip. Racing sequences hit with roaring engine sound and quick cutting, while the romantic and family scenes linger in close, softly lit two-shots, and the musical numbers arrive as bursts of colour and rhythm. The mood is warm and sentimental with a comic streak running through the banter and the household chaos, and it swings into melodrama and hardship without turning cruel. Violence is limited to a car accident and a few tense racing moments, with no gore; the emotional stakes come from heartbreak, money worries and a family under strain. The pacing is brisk and musical, with frequent set pieces that break up the slower domestic stretches. It suits a Sunday afternoon or a comfort rewatch, and it is for people who want a big-hearted Bollywood romance-drama about marriage, pride and recovering from a fall, with dancing, comedy and a happy-ending pull.
