The story

Explore a spectacular world held entirely in your hands. Embark on a unique adventure from the creative minds behind LittleBigPlanet with your new friend, the adventurous Iota or the intrepid Atoi - a papercraft messenger from another dimension with a unique message to deliver - to you!

What it’s like

Soft, sunlit papercraft everywhere: a world built from cardboard, folded paper and corrugated textures, with hand-cut edges, visible seams and gentle drop shadows that make every hill and cloud feel like a diorama you could pick up. The palette is warm and clean, with pastel skies, kraft-brown ground and bright paper accents, and the camera drifts close and low as if you were leaning over a craft table. Sound is airy and whimsical: plucked strings, soft percussion, the crinkle and flutter of paper underfoot. Tearaway has a gentle, playful vibe, the sort of open-hearted calm that suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a quiet evening on the couch, or someone's first time with a controller. Its pace is unhurried, with light platforming, puzzles and collecting hidden bits that reward curiosity more than reflexes. The emotional register is warm and sincere, following a small messenger who needs your help to deliver a message across a world that is very much alive. It is almost entirely free of threat, with no violence and no real danger, just the occasional cheeky enemy. Made for players who want a tactile, inventive, kind game they can drift through, including younger players and anyone who loves handmade worlds.
