The story

The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition is the ultimate way to play the award-winning RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division. Including the base game and all DLC, this remastered masterpiece is the absolute best version of The Outer Worlds.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated retro-future design: sun-bleached colonial outposts, chrome corporate lobbies, and pastel-and-neon color blocking under hazy alien skies, all rendered in a cheerful cartoon-leaning style rather than gritty realism. The sound is a playful retro-synth score with twangy Americana touches, punctuated by exaggerated ray-gun chatter and the deadpan voices of a colorful cast. It is a first-person game you play in long, unhurried stretches: wandering open planets, reading terminals, poking into side quests, and making dialogue choices that quietly reshape the story. Its tone is wry and satirical, with corporate absurdity and gallows humor more than real menace, and its companions and townsfolk have the kind of sly, lovable oddness that rewards lingering. Violence is present but stylized and cartoonish, with gunfights and blasters across many encounters, though blood is minimal and nothing lands as truly grim. Mild profanity and crude jokes appear. Best for players who want a funny, low-dread sci-fi adventure to sink into over many evenings, with heavy character-building and freedom to roam and talk their way through.
