The story
For Anna, every day is the same. She sits with her wine, staring out the window, watching life go by without her. But when a handsome neighbor moves in across the street, Anna starts to see a light at the end of the tunnel. That is until she witnesses a gruesome murder… Or did she?
What it’s like
Sharply lit thriller pastiche with a knowing wink: moody, high-contrast shadows and tight window-framed compositions borrowed from classic Hitchcock-style suspense, then undercut by bright sitcom staging, exaggerated reaction shots, and sudden flashes of saturated, dreamlike hallucination. Most of the action unfolds through glass and across a narrow city street, so the feel is claustrophobic but playful, with a wine glass rarely far from hand. The score leans into lush, overwrought strings and campy stingers that cue the genre and then mock it. Pacing is brisk, with short episodes that escalate quickly and keep pivoting between suspense and gags. The vibe is mischievous and cheeky, a dark comedy with a stalker-thriller undercurrent rather than a scary watch. Violence and gore exist but are cartoonish and played for laughs, with some crude humor, sexual innuendo, and drinking, so it is not a gentle pick. It suits a binge on a restless evening or a late night with friends who enjoy genre parody. It is for viewers who like mystery sent up with affectionate absurdity, a lonely heroine's unreliable perspective, and jokes that land on the dark side.
