The story
A Game of the Year Edition of Uncharted 3 was released on September 21, 2012, in Europe, with no mention of a release outside of Europe. However, the edition was released in North America on September 25, 2012, as part of a gaming bundle of the 250GB version of the slimmer PlayStation 3. This edition included all previously released DLC (up to 14 pieces of content in total), which was previously available as part of the "Uncharted 3 Fortune Hunters' Club". In addition to Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, this also includes: - Multiplayer maps (Graveyard, Old Quarter, London Streets, Oasis) - "Flashback maps" which are 8 remade maps from versions 1 and 2 - 25 multiplayer skins, and Killzone 3 skins - Fort Co-Op (this happens in the fortress from 'Drake's Fortune') - Rogue skins pack (from 14 enemies)
What it’s like
Sun-bleached desert ruins under hard noon light, rain-slick London streets glowing amber under streetlamps, and a crumbling fortress lit by torchlight, all rendered in glossy, high-contrast digital detail. The camera stays close behind the hero as he scrambles across sandstone ledges and cracked stone walls, and the orchestral score swells with brass and percussion whenever a cliff edge or collapsing floor arrives. Sound design carries plenty of ambience: wind through dunes, distant gunfire echoing off old masonry, the clatter of falling debris. Vibe-wise, it is a breezy, swashbuckling treasure hunt with a wisecracking tone, and it suits a weekend afternoon with the controller in hand, a comfort replay, or a friend on the couch for the co-op and multiplayer modes. Pacing alternates between tense shootouts, quick climbing puzzles, and quieter banter-driven stretches, with a friendship at its heart that gradually deepens under pressure. Violence is frequent and cartoonishly staged, with many gunfights, fistfights, and explosions, but blood is limited and the tone stays more adventurous than grim. Swearing and suggestive dialogue appear occasionally. It is best for players who want big cinematic set pieces, Indiana Jones-style adventure, and a playful, action-heavy escape rather than something gentle or contemplative.
