The story

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a single-player action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective, and a standalone expansion in the Uncharted series. Players guide treasure hunter Chloe Frazer through towns, ruins, and temples across the Western Ghats of India, using firearms, melee combat, and stealth against hostile forces. Gameplay combines gunfights, climbing and platforming, environmental puzzles, and vehicle sections across larger, more open environments than earlier entries. It also grants access to the multiplayer component of Uncharted 4.

What it’s like

Sun-warmed and verdant, with the green of monsoon-soaked jungle giving way to dust-gold ruins and crowded, lantern-lit market towns in the Western Ghats. The camera hangs close over Chloe Frazer's shoulder, and the framing opens out into wide vistas of hills and canopy whenever the terrain widens, so exploration feels airy and unhurried between firefights. Ambient sound leans on birdsong, wind through leaves, and the murmur of street life, with a percussive, cinematic score that swells during chases and drops away in quiet temple corridors. Its vibe is sun-bleached adventure with a playful, bantering edge: a rainy-afternoon or long-weekend playthrough, or a photo-mode session lingering on sunlit stone. The pace alternates between climbing, lock picking, and puzzle-solving, and bursts of cover-based gunfights and stealth takedowns. The emotional register is brisk and warm, centred on two capable women and their wry partnership. Violence is frequent and fairly brutal in gunfights and melee, with stylised blood and some graphic kills, but it rarely dwells on gore and there is no sexual content. Best for players who want swashbuckling set pieces, gorgeous landscapes, and a buddy-driven story rather than something gentle or quiet.
