The story

Years ago Agent Kabir went rogue, became India’s greatest villain ever. As he descends further into the deepest shadows... India sends its deadliest, most lethal agent after him, Agent Vikram A Special Units Officer who is more than Kabir’s equal and a relentless Terminator driven by his own demons, determined to put a bullet into Kabir’s skull.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated spy-thriller spectacle: glossy digital imagery with sweeping aerial shots of cities and mountain roads, slick night-time streets washed in sodium orange and cold blue, and set pieces staged with a restless, roving camera that snaps between wide action geography and tight close-ups on faces. Expect pounding electronic and orchestral score, thudding bass under every chase, and sudden drops into near silence before a gunshot. Pacing is relentless, with few quiet breaths and a sense of momentum that rarely lets up across its long runtime. The emotional register is loud and operatic, built on bravado, rivalry and wounded pride more than intimacy, with a cool, bruised undertone as two skilled operatives circle each other. Violence is frequent and stylised: gunfights, hand-to-hand brawls, explosions and vehicle stunts, with some blood but no real gore dwelling. Intense rather than cruel, with no sexual content of note. It suits a loud Friday night, a big-screen crowd, or anyone craving high-octane action with a glossy, unapologetically big feel.
