The story

Down in the underground city of Fortuna, you'll meet the Solaris: a society of body-augmented individuals who live in debt-internment under Corpus rule. The Solaris live in fear of being "repossessed" - cybernetic limb and organ removal by Nef Anyo’s repo squads. Despite living in terror and debt, the Solaris are a hopeful community who pride themselves in their efforts to terraform Venus.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated open terrain under a heavy Venusian sky, with sun-warmed canyon vistas giving way to lamp-lit cavern towns, copper dust, and glowing vegetation in the terraformed valleys. The sound is a mix of wind over open ground, the hum of fishing lines and mining drills, and an upbeat, layered score that leans toward warm strings and percussion, with sharp tech-noise when combat breaks out. Gameplay moves at a fast, fluid third-person shooter pace, but much of the experience is unhurried: wandering the markets, tending a fishing rod, cracking rocks for ore, and chatting with the community. Its tone is hopeful and gently melancholic, a cheerful resilience under a shadow of debt and fear, and its characters are a close-knit, scrappy people who keep their humour through hardship. Violence is frequent, stylised, and bloodless, with cybernetic limbs being stripped away in sci-fi action rather than graphic gore, and the frightening moments are more tense than grisly. It suits players who want relaxed open-world hunting and crafting with cooperative combat, rather than horror or grim realism, and it's especially welcoming for people who enjoy an optimistic, slow-burn community setting.
