The story
As Ellen Ripley, it is down to you to complete the last mission on board the Nostromo. The rest of the crew are dead. In a desperate bid to survive you must set the ship’s self-destruct and attempt to reach the escape shuttle.
What it’s like
Dim, cramped corridors lit by flickering amber emergency strips and the cold green glow of motion trackers and retro monitors, with the 1979 Nostromo's riveted metal and humming machinery rendered in grime and shadow. Sound does much of the work: the ship's groans and pipe knocks, the blip-blip of a tracker, and long stretches of near silence that make every drip or footstep feel loud. Pacing is tense and deliberate, built around hiding, waiting, and moving through spaces that feel too small, with frightening creature encounters that arrive suddenly rather than in sustained gore. Violence is brief and startling, with little blood, and the dread lands as a mounting, anxious pressure rather than relief. The emotional register is isolated and determined, following a lone survivor steadily keeping her nerve against the odds. It suits a late night played alone with headphones, or anyone who wants sci-fi horror that is claustrophobic and atmospheric without being graphic. It is for players who enjoy slow-burning survival tension and retro-futuristic dread.
