The story

The Bonfire of the Vanities, the Battle of Forlì, and the exclusive black 'Bonus Skin'. What it’s like

Warm Renaissance light spills over Florence, Venice and Constantinople in this three-game collection, with sun-baked rooftops, terracotta and ochre palettes, and candlelit interiors that give way to dusk-blue streets and rain-slick cobbles. The camera hangs over the shoulder and climbs with you, so the cityscapes feel vast and vertical, full of bell towers, laundry lines and crowded markets rendered with a glossy, slightly painterly sheen. The score swells with strings and drums during chases and drops to plucked lute and near-silence while you crouch in hay bales or wait on a bench. Pacing is stop-start: long stretches of wandering and rooftop climbing punctuated by tense, short stealth assassinations. Its mood is wistful and swashbuckling, a warm adventure with a melancholy undertow about a man reclaiming his family and his city. Violence is frequent but stylised: swordfights, stabbings and hangings, with blood spatter and some grim executions, though nothing lingers graphically. Sexual content is minimal and non-explicit. Suited to a long weekend of exploring, or to players who want a sprawling historical playground with a stealthy, action-driven rhythm.
