The story
A coming of age story about young people in their twenties and the problems they face in university. Nam Soo-hyun and Yeon Joo, two boys with contrasting personalities, unexpectedly become friends when they work on a project together.
What it’s like
Warm, everyday campus life, with the unhurried feel of a slice-of-life series: classroom corridors, shared project tables, and ordinary evenings in a university town. The mood is gentle and wry, with a comic lightness that gives way to heavier, quieter moments. The vibe is tender and bittersweet, suited to a weekend binge or an easy evening when you want characters to grow slowly. Two young men with very different temperaments drift from wary collaborators into close friends, and the pacing lets that bond develop over many small scenes. The show also carries serious material: child abuse, domestic violence, and mental health struggles are part of several characters' histories, and some scenes are emotionally raw. There is romance, including an older-woman, younger-man relationship, but little physical violence and no gore. It suits viewers who want a character-driven coming-of-age story with humour and warmth, and who can handle its darker strands.
