The story
After a whirlwind marriage with social media influencer Akhil Chadha that ends in divorce, chef Saloni Bagga meets hotelier Gurbir Pannu. One night with Gurbir – and then also with Akhil – leads to Saloni getting pregnant. But who's the father? By a one-in-a-billion twist of fate, Saloni is carrying twins – and not just any twins, each child has a different father!
What it’s like
Bright, glossy Bollywood comedy with warm, saturated colour: hotel lobbies in polished golds and creams, kitchens full of steam and clatter, and wedding-season pinks and reds that make every scene feel lit for a party. The camera stays busy and playful, with quick cuts, close two-shots during arguments, and wide establishing frames of city streets and luxury interiors. The score leans on upbeat Punjabi-inflected pop and bouncy dance numbers, with comic stings for mishaps, so the soundtrack keeps the energy high. It is a comfortable, laugh-forward watch for a Friday night or a group viewing, with melodrama turned up for comic effect. Romance is flirtatious and suggestive rather than explicit, with some innuendo and mild sexual humour; violence is absent and conflict stays verbal and farcical. The emotional register is light and breezy, following a headstrong woman and two men who keep colliding with her and with each other as their lives tangle around her. It suits viewers who want a bubbly, low-stakes romcom with a bit of heart and a lot of chaotic family noise.
