The story

Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep is DLC for Borderlands 2. Sorcerers, Wizards and Crumpets, oh my! Join vault hunters, old and new, in Tiny Tina epic quest of revenge and redemption. Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, the biggest and most inspired add-on content in Borderlands history, features a game within a game, as Tiny Tina takes on the role of Bunker Master in a game of “Bunkers & Badasses”. Travel through a dark and ever changing world of castles, dungeons and magic forests as you fight off skeletons, orcs, dragons and more. Explore side missions and answer riddles as you roll your insight stat to gain new and amazing loot. Join with friends to save the queen and restore peace and order to the world once more.

What it’s like

Chunky cel-shaded comic-book frames and bright, saturated colour, with a fantasy palette of torchlit stone, mossy forest greens and sudden explosions of neon loot glow. The scrawled hand-drawn textures of Tina's tabletop campaign give the whole thing a scrappy, paper-and-marker feel, its dungeons and castles pitched somewhere between a child's sketchbook and a rock concert. Sound is loud and playful: a bombastic orchestral-rock score, gleeful voice work, and the clatter of weapons and crits layered over a joke-heavy soundtrack. The vibe is chaotic, irreverent and warm, the kind of thing to play with friends on a loud Saturday night or in short bursts when you want something silly and full of noise. Pacing is brisk, with quick fights, side quests and riddles that reward rolling for loot, and the emotional register swings between goofy and tender as the story leans on a sister's grief and a shared quest to put things right. Violence is constant but cartoonish: stylised gunfire, skeletons and orcs bursting into bloodless puffs, with no gore and no sexual content. It suits co-op players and fans of loot-chasing shooters who want a playful, rowdy fantasy romp.
