The story
Deadlink is a cyberpunk FPS with roguelite elements. You're the first operative to be recruited to the experimental Deadlink project. Pilot an autonomous combat shell, fighting your way through cramped slums, twisted labs, grimy warehouses, and sleek office buildings on a mission to thwart the schemes of the most powerful corporations in the world. Wield a deadly arsenal, upgrade your skills and tech, devastate destructible environments, and slash corporate profit margins — all at the same time.
What it’s like
Hard neon against wet concrete, with the palette tilting toward acid pink, electric teal and sodium orange across slums, labs and glass office towers. The camera sits close behind a chunky combat shell, so the view judders with every strafe and the screen fills with sparks, debris and bursts of light when environments come apart. The soundtrack leans on pulsing synth and distorted bass that spike during firefights and drop away into hums of ventilation and rain between rooms. Each run is a rush of short, punchy encounters, with fast resets, a steady drip of upgrades and the satisfaction of smashing through a glossy corporate lobby. The vibe is kinetic cyberpunk with a grimy, anarchic streak: loud, scrappy and fizzing with energy. It suits an evening of restless, arcade-style play, a few quick runs before bed, or a pick-up session when you want momentum over atmosphere. Violence is constant and stylised, with heavy gunfire, explosions and destruction, though it is cartoonish and bloodless rather than gory. It is for players who want bombastic shooting, roguelite replay loops and visual chaos, and it is not gentle or contemplative.
