What it’s like
Isometric fantasy rendered in rich, painterly colour: mossy forests, lantern-lit dungeon halls, and cave systems glowing with fungus and magic. The camera hangs at a fixed angle over the world, so the scenery reads like a storybook map you can rotate and zoom. Combat is slow and deliberate, with turn-based grids where oil, water, and fire interact and stone, bones, and spectral figures crowd the frame. Sound is a wash of orchestral fantasy and ambient tavern chatter, punctuated by spell-cast flourishes and the clatter of crafting. The mood is witty and warm, with a dry, bantering tone that undercuts its darker supernatural material. Violence is frequent and stylised, with skeletons, orcs, and demons falling in bursts of colour rather than realistic gore, and there's plenty of cruelty and danger in the dungeons but little that lingers. Pacing is unhurried: long stretches of exploration and dialogue give way to tense, tactical fights. It suits long weekend sessions, co-op nights with a friend, and players who enjoy experimenting with systems and reading NPCs for clues. Fans of tactical RPGs and clever, playful worldbuilding will feel most at home here.
