The story
Ghosts of Tabor is a VR only FPS PVP and PVE survival game where you will use your wits, skills and resources to survive. Inspired by games such as Escape from Tarkov and DayZ, featuring different scenarios from scavenging to looting and crafting. Will you survive long enough to make it out alive?
What it’s like
Tense, hard-edged daylight and gloomy dusk over scrappy post-collapse settlements, with grit-stained concrete, rusted metal and dust hanging in the air. Seen from a first-person VR viewpoint, the world sits close: weapons, magazines and loot crates are handled with your own hands, so every reload, inspection and stash-sort feels deliberate and physical. The soundscape carries the unease, with distant gunfire, creaking structures, footsteps on gravel and the rasp of your own breathing doing most of the work, and there is little music to soften it. The pace is slow and watchful, broken by sudden, loud confrontations that can end a run in seconds. Its vibe is tense, methodical dread, the kind of focus you bring to a long, careful session alone or with a squad. Violence is frequent and realistic in its shooting, with blood effects and a constant threat of death, though it is more tactical than gratuitously gory. It suits players who want co-operative tactical play, risk-and-reward looting and a steady sense of being hunted, not something relaxing or gentle.
