The story

When a rival steals his presentation and takes the credit for making it, a man gets fired from his job and lashes out on God for making his life miserable. However, God appears before him in human form and gives him his powers with a challenge to do better than him.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated studio colour and broad, theatrical lighting give this Bollywood comedy the glossy, slightly overdone look of mid-2000s Hindi cinema: crisp digital frames, big sets, loud costumes, and song sequences where the palette tips into candy-coloured excess. The camera stays busy, with quick cuts, zooms and mugging close-ups that favour energy over stillness, and the score is a bouncy mix of orchestral swells and pop-filmi tracks. The mood is breezy and warm, a light-hearted, slapstick-tinged fantasy that suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a comfort watch with friends, or easy background viewing. Pacing is brisk and episodic, with the emotional register kept mostly playful and sentimental rather than heavy. Its arc follows a frustrated office worker who learns that borrowed divine power is less satisfying than he expected, moving from bitterness toward a more generous sense of himself. Intensity is low: some comic physical mishaps and a few tense confrontations, but no gore and little real menace. It is best for viewers who want gentle, big-hearted entertainment with song, colour and star charisma.
