The story
The third part of the Jolly LLB trilogy brings back Jagdish Tyagi and Jagdishwar Mishra for the biggest face-off as penurious widow Janki Devi Solanki awaits justice against business tycoon Haribhai Khaitan in a satire on the judiciary, justice and the gulf between the privileged and the people on the other side of the spectrum.
What it’s like
Bright, crowded courtroom interiors under tube lights and fluorescent glare, with the Lucknow and Delhi courts rendered as sweaty, overfilled rooms of fans, files and restless bodies, and the camera moving briskly between close, expressive faces and wide establishing shots of the building. The palette leans warm and dusty, with sunlit streets and cramped lanes contrasting with the cool, polished interiors of the tycoon's world. The sound is busy and playful: bouncy, percussive Hindi film music, snappy dialogue delivered in rapid exchanges, and courtroom banter that swings between farce and sincere outrage. Its vibe is brisk, sardonic and warm-hearted, suited to a lively evening with friends or a light, engaged watch when you want something funny that still has a point. The pacing is energetic and talky, with the emotional register moving from broad comedy toward a sharper, angrier sense of injustice as the central widow's fight takes shape. Two rival lawyers, one flamboyant and one earnest, gradually reveal a more human side under pressure. Intensity is low: some shouting, mild slapstick and a few tense moments in court, with no graphic violence. It is for viewers who enjoy satirical Bollywood comedy with social conscience and a lot of spirited performance.
