The story
In Singapore, Krishna is forced by circumstances to use his superpowers and become a masked superhero named Krrish, before getting drawn towards his lost legacy.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated colour and big, bold framing give this Bollywood superhero film a glossy, comic-book energy, with Singapore's towers, neon-lit streets and sleek interiors standing in for a modern city of ambition. Its sound is full of brass-and-strings song, synth-tinged action cues and punchy percussion, and the music often breaks the scene open into dance. The mood is warm, earnest and playful, a feel-good adventure rather than a grim one, with the hero's transformation and a sweet romance carrying the emotional weight. Pacing is brisk and uneven in the way of mainstream Indian cinema, with stretches of melodrama and comedy punctuating the stunts, and the central arc follows a reluctant young man learning to accept a bigger destiny. Action is frequent and stylised, with wire-assisted fights, explosions and some peril, but it stays bloodless and PG-leaning, so the violence reads as cartoonish rather than harsh. It suits a lighthearted weekend watch or a family movie night, and it is made for viewers who love musical spectacle and comic-book wonder without darkness.
