The story

Delve into the diverse world of horror movies in this 2D action puzzler. Nothing can prepare you for the R-rated challenges you will face!

What it’s like

Chunky pixel art in saturated, flat-coloured night scenes, with a cramped cabin, a forest clearing and dim basement rooms rendered in the chunky palette of cheap horror: blood-red splashes, sickly greens, the cold blue of moonlight through a window. The sound is a chiptune-leaning score that jumps between lighthearted bounce and sudden stingers, with exaggerated squelches and thumps for every grisly kill. Camera is a simple side-on or top-down view, and the rhythm is brisk: short rooms, quick trial-and-error puzzles, and a day/night cycle that shifts the danger. Its tone is knowing and irreverent, a parody of slasher and creature-feature conventions rather than a sustained scare, with dark jokes and cartoonish gore. Expect frequent blood, corpses, explosions and sexual nudity played for laughs; the violence is plentiful and gory but cartoonish, and it is not gentle. Suits a late-night session with friends or a player who enjoys puzzle-action with a gleefully crude sense of humour, and is best avoided by anyone wanting calm or low-stakes play.
