The story
Paradise Island, a world outside reality. There’s been a murder that only "investigation freak" Lady Love Dies can solve. Gather evidence and interrogate suspects in this open world adventure. You can accuse anyone, but you’ll have to prove your case in trial to convict. It’s up to you to decide who’s guilty.
What it’s like
Vivid, saturated vaporwave: a sunset-and-neon palette of magenta skies, teal water and violet shadow, with glossy low-poly islands and hand-painted Art Deco architecture that feels like a gorgeous dream of a resort that has gone quietly wrong. Its aesthetic is a stylised, retro-futurist pastiche, sometimes flat and graphic, sometimes lush. The soundtrack is a sweeping, looping mix of synth pads, dreamy chillwave and pulsing electronic beats, playing over long wandering walks through sunlit streets, open ocean and empty ballrooms. Its vibe is hazy, stylish unease: a lazy holiday glow with a murderous undertow. It suits a late-night session alone, or an evening when you want to sink into a puzzle without rushing. The pace is unhurried, built around sifting clues, interviewing eccentric suspects and weighing theories before a deliberately theatrical courtroom trial. The emotional register is wry and playful, with a quietly melancholic edge. Violence is off-screen and cartoonish, with dark crime themes and mild menace rather than gore. It is for mystery lovers who enjoy open-ended deduction, cult-classic style and irreverent detective whimsy.
