The story
Born with supernatural strength, Bong-soon fights evil and procures justice while getting tangled in a love triangle with her CEO boss and cop crush.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated sitcom color with glossy, well-lit interiors: a cramped apartment, a sleek corporate office, and sunny city streets that look freshly washed. The camera is quick and playful, with snappy cuts, reaction close-ups, and exaggerated action beats that play for laughs rather than grit. Fight scenes are choreographed like slapstick, with bodies flung through doors and into the air, while a bouncy pop-leaning score and comic sound effects keep the mood buoyant. The vibe is cheerful, warm, and lightly chaotic, suited to a weekend binge, a lazy evening on the sofa, or background company while folding laundry. Pacing is brisk across many episodes, and the emotional register swings between giddy romance and sincere family tenderness as a fiercely loyal woman protects the people she loves while her two romantic prospects gradually reveal softer sides. Violence is frequent but cartoonish: brawls, thugs knocked flat, scuffles and bruises, with no gore and little real menace. Sexual content is limited to kissing and flirtation. It suits viewers who want a feel-good romantic comedy with superhuman action and a playful sense of humor.
