The story
Red, Chuck, Bomb and the rest of their feathered friends are surprised when a green pig suggests that they put aside their differences and unite to fight a common threat. Aggressive birds from an island covered in ice are planning to use an elaborate weapon to destroy the fowl and swine.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated 3D animation with glossy surfaces and sun-drenched island vistas: turquoise water, lush green slopes, and snowy white ice fields that give the palette a sharp, candy-colored contrast. The camera moves briskly through bustling bird villages and pig fortresses, with quick cuts, slapstick physical gags and exaggerated character close-ups, and the score leans on bouncy orchestral cues and pop-leaning needle drops that keep the energy buoyant. The vibe is silly, unassuming and irreverent, the kind of loud, cheerful sequel that suits a Saturday-morning family screening, a lazy afternoon with kids, or a light background watch while doing chores. Pacing is brisk and rarely lets up, and the emotional register stays warm and playful; the central arc follows a prickly, impulsive hero learning to work alongside former rivals and a sibling-like crew. Intensity is mild: cartoon peril, comic explosions and falls, slapstick bonks, and no gore or real cruelty, though the action sequences are fast and loud enough to overwhelm very young or sensitive viewers. Made for families and fans of the franchise who want cheerful, easygoing animated comedy with a clear sense of fun.
