The story

The Zachtronics Solitaire Collection is here! Inside you will find all seven Zachtronics solitaire games, updated with new 4K graphics, plus one brand new Tarot-themed solitaire variant only available here. Shenzhen Solitaire: A FreeCell-inspired solitaire with a three-color deck Sigmar’s Garden: A tile matching game using the alchemical symbols Proletariat’s Patience: An asymmetric solitaire variant where some cards are grouped by suit while others are stacked by alternating colors Kabufuda Solitaire: A challenging solitaire variant using Japanese kabufuda cards where additional free cells are unlocked by making sets Cluj Solitaire: An original solitaire variant where you can “cheat” by placing cards wherever you want, so long as you’re careful Cribbage Solitaire: A score-based solitaire variant using modified Cribbage rules and an actual Cold War aircraft recognition deck Sawayama Solitaire: A reimagined version of Klondike that is faster, more strategic, and more often winnable than the original Fortune’s Foundation: A brand new and extra-challenging solitaire variant using a deck of Tarot cards that presents a fortune when you win

What it’s like

Crisp, flat card faces on a clean felt-green or wood-grain table, with the stark, almost clinical neatness of an engineer's workbench: every card, tile and stack sits in sharp focus under even, shadowless light. The Shenzhen Solitaire deck brings in red, green and black suit art with a bit of Asian-inspired ornament, Sigmar's Garden glows with alchemical glyphs, and Cribbage Solitaire leans into the grey-blue of Cold War aircraft silhouettes. Sound is sparse: soft clicks and slides, a low ambient hum, and an unobtrusive synth pulse that stays out of the way. The rhythm is entirely self-paced, with long still pauses while you study the layout and quick bursts when a run finally clears. The mood is quiet, cerebral and contemplative, a cool focus rather than tension, though a few variants turn the screws with tight constraints and scoring pressure. There is no violence, gore or sexual content, and the only dread comes from a stubborn deal you can't crack. It suits a rainy evening, a long train ride or a low-key break, and it is for people who enjoy patient puzzle-solving, tidy systems and the satisfaction of a well-planned win.
