The story

In the sequel to Drake's Fortune, Nathan Drake comes across a map that showcases the location of Marco Polo's missing ships. It takes him on a journey to find the infamous Cintamani Stone, and uncover the truth behind it.

What it’s like

Sun-warmed jungle canopy, crumbling Himalayan monasteries, snowbound mountain passes and a rattling night train: the look is cinematic and lush, with bright, saturated palettes, dust hanging in shafts of light, and a camera that stays tight over Nathan Drake's shoulder so every leap, handhold and gunfight feels physical. Motion blur and rich, detailed textures sell the sense of momentum, while the orchestral score swells during set pieces and drops to quieter ambient tracks between them. Its vibe is brisk, swashbuckling and playful, a sun-drenched treasure-hunt caper with wisecracking banter and a light romantic tension threaded through. Pacing is fast and escalating, with frequent climbing, puzzle pauses and chaotic firefights that build toward big, spectacular showpieces. Emotionally it stays upbeat and buddy-driven, with a roguish hero learning that his charm has a cost. Violence is constant and frequently lethal, with stylised gunplay, many enemies killed on screen and some bloodshed, but no gore-heavy focus or sexual content. It suits players who want an Indiana Jones-style adventure to play in bursts, on a rainy evening or when they want high-energy escapism, and fans who enjoy cinematic action with wit and well-staged spectacle.
