The story

The next adventure is on the Nintendo Switch console set on the backs of colossal, living Titans. Discover each Titan's diverse regions, culture, wildlife, equipment, and hidden secrets. Find, bond with, and command weaponized life forms known as Blades to earn abilities and enhance them. Uncover the history of Alrest and the mystery of its endless ocean of clouds.

What it’s like

Vivid, saturated fantasy colour set against sweeping cloudscapes: lush jungle canopies, bioluminescent caverns, and sun-warmed Titan backs stretching into an endless sea of clouds, often viewed from dizzying heights. The anime-inflected character art sits over richly painted environments, and the soundtrack swells with orchestral and choral grandeur, shifting into lighter, playful themes in towns and quieter piano in reflective moments. Combat feels kinetic and flashy, with bright particle effects and a lot of motion in each exchange, and exploration rewards curiosity with hidden corners, creatures to observe, and odd little details scattered across each region. The vibe is wondrous and bittersweet, with a warm, earnest sense of adventure that gives way to moments of heavier emotion. Expect long sessions of chatter and cutscenes between fights, plus a steady, sometimes sprawling pace as the story widens. Violence is stylised and frequent in battle, with some dark, sorrowful scenes and sudden deaths, but no gore. Best for players who love vast, slow-burn fantasy worlds, party-based RPG systems, and a sincere, emotionally driven journey across an unusual sky-world.
