The story

Partners in crime Jai and Veeru set their next target on a rich businessman, Rai Bahadur. Things turn hilarious when both of them fall for his daughters.

What it’s like

Bright, saturated studio colour and sunlit Mumbai interiors, with mirrored halls, marigold-strewn courtyards and gaudy costume palettes that keep the frame busy and cheerful. Camera work is brisk and playful: quick zooms, sudden cuts to pratfalls, and set-piece song numbers with big choreography and glossy, syrupy orchestration that swells whenever a character pretends to be someone else. The sound is loud and bouncy, full of slapstick sound effects, chirpy dhol-and-synth pop and exaggerated reactions that land like a cartoon. Vibe: fizzy, slapdash, warm-hearted farce. It suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a sweet-tooth comfort rewatch, or something on in the background while folding laundry. Pacing is fast and jokey, with mistaken identities and comic chase beats stacked one after another, while the romance stays light and goofy, with two rogues softening into devotion. Intensity is low: some scuffles and mock fights played for laughs, no real gore, and romance kept chaste and playful. Made for viewers who want big-hearted, silly comedy with lots of music and no heaviness.
