The story

On a long-awaited trip to Europe, a New York City cop and his hairdresser wife scramble to solve a baffling murder aboard a billionaire's yacht.

What it’s like

Bright, sun-bleached daylight over the Mediterranean: saturated blues, gleaming white yacht decks, glossy resort sheen and the warm gold of Monaco's casinos after dark, all shot in clean, polished digital that never looks gritty. Camera work stays busy and comic, with quick cuts, snappy two-shots and reaction close-ups that let the leads mug and bounce off each other, and the score is a bouncy, jaunty pop-orchestral pulse that keeps the chase moving. The vibe is breezy, silly and low-stakes, the kind of easygoing caper that suits a lazy weekend afternoon, a travel-fantasy watch on a flight, or something to half-follow while folding laundry. Pacing is brisk and the tone stays light, with slapstick, banter and running gags carrying a marriage-under-strain story that resolves into affectionate teamwork, a loosely sketched whodunit that never asks for close attention. Violence is cartoonish and brief: a few sudden deaths and comic scuffles, no gore, no sexual content beyond innuendo, and little real fear. It is for people who want a silly, feel-good comedy with a star pairing and a glamorous backdrop, rather than a tense or grim mystery.
