The story
After falling in love, three roommates experience changes in their lives.
What it’s like
Bright, saturated Indian city daylight gives way to warm, crowded interiors: rented flats with clutter, tube-lit night streets, and bustling college campuses rendered in a glossy, mainstream digital look. The camera is mobile and playful, with quick cuts, bouncy handheld energy during group scenes, and snappy song-and-dance sequences built on pop-rock and Bollywood beats that spill over into the rhythm of the dialogue. Underneath the noise is a soft, sentimental melancholy about young love going wrong, but the mood stays buoyant and self-deprecating, with plenty of wisecracking between three friends sharing a flat. Pacing is brisk and episodic, with broad slapstick and gags alternating with sincere heartache. The intensity is light: some crude and sexual humour, mild innuendo and bawdy talk, and emotional rather than physical conflict; no real violence and no gore. It suits a lazy weekend, a fun group watch, or a cheerful comfort rewatch with friends, and it is for viewers who enjoy loud, warm, romantic comedies about messy twenty-something friendships.
