The story
Moments after surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game — and this time with her estranged sister Faith at her side. Grace has one chance to survive, keep her sister alive, and claim the High Seat of the Council that controls the world. Four rival families are hunting her for the throne, and whoever wins rules it all.
What it’s like
Hard-edged, saturated horror-comedy with a slick, glossy digital look: bright gothic mansions lit in candy-red and sickly green, sharp symmetrical framing, and fast, kinetic handheld chases that cut to wide, bloodied tableaux. Sound leans on pounding needle-drop rock, stingers, and sudden silences before a cartoonishly loud crunch of bone. The vibe is gleefully nasty, a bratty, over-the-top carnival of cruelty played for laughs. Expect frequent graphic gore, exploding bodies, ritual sacrifice imagery, satanic cult trappings, and brutal, unapologetic violence landing with a wink rather than dread. Pacing is relentless, almost all escalation, with the emotional thread a prickly, reluctant reconciliation between two estranged sisters who are forced into a deadly game together. For people who want a sequel-speed splatter comedy with a sharp streak of black humour, a night with the lights low and an appetite for gore.
