What it’s like
Chunky DOS-era pixel graphics on a bright, flat palette: snow-white hillsides, deep blue shadow under the ski jump ramps, and small pixel skiers tucked into a crouch as they rocket down the inrun. The camera mostly sits trackside at a steady distance, so each run reads as a clean diagonal streak from gate to landing, with a crisp white arc for the flight and a little burst of snow on touchdown. Sound is simple and mechanical: the scrape of skis on the inrun, a blunt landing thud, and the hushed crowd murmur of a tournament hill. Pacing is brisk and repetitive in the best way, each jump a short, contained attempt followed by a score card, which suits a few quick rounds during a coffee break, a bored afternoon, or a nostalgic evening with a friend trading jumps on one keyboard. The mood is light, cheerful and retro, with competitive tension kept low-key, and the arc is simply a rookie climbing through practice, then the World Cup circuit, one hill at a time. Entirely non-violent and free of gore, fear or sexual content. Made for fans of old-school sports sims and shareware nostalgia, and for anyone who enjoys learning a rhythm and chasing a better score.
